૧	હે પ્રભુજી, મુજ પ્રાર્થ સુણો, 'મુજને તમ દોરો.'
	માર્ગ ઘણો ભયકારક છે 'મુજને તમ દોરો;'
	આવે છે રજની ધસતી, મુજ છે ઘર આઘે,
	દિવ્ય મશાલ દયા જ થકી, ધરજો મુજ માર્ગે.
૨	ચોગમ નીરખતાં વન તો બહુ વિકટ ભાસે,
	ઓથ નથી, સહવાસ નથી, પ્રભુ, રહો મુજ પાસે;
	છે મુજ પાય શ્રમિત ઘણા બળહીન જણાએ,
	વાદળ ઘોર છવાય નભે અકળામણ થાએ.
૩	માટે, પ્રેમળ પાંખ તળે મુજને તમ ઢાંકો,
	જોખમ જીવતણાં સઘળાં મુજથી દૂર રાખો;
	મોહ અને ગર્વથી મનડું હરખ્યું સહુ વાતે,
	તોપણ એ સર્વ માફ કરી, પ્રભુ, રહો મુજ સાથે.
૪	નિશા અંધારી, પણ તે તમને નવ ઢાંકે,
	ભોર થતાં લગ નીરખજો કરુણામય આંખે;
	ત્યારે, હું કરમાં પ્રભુના ઊંઘીશ નિરાંતે,
	ને સ્તવનો ગાતાં હર્ષથી જાગીશ પ્રભાતે.

4	Nisha andhaari, pan te tamne nav dhanke,
	Bhor thata lag nirakhajo karunaamay aankhe;
	Tyaare, hu karma prabhuna unghish niraante,
	Ne stavano gaata harshthi jaagish prabhaate.

1	O Lord, hear my prayer, 'Lead me.'
	The path is very fearful, 'Lead me;'
	Night comes rushing on, my home is far ahead,
	By divine mercy alone, hold a torch upon my path.
2	Looking all around, the forest appears very dreadful,
	There is no shelter, no companionship, Lord, stay near me;
	My feet are very weary, showing great weakness,
	Dark clouds cover the sky, and distress arises.
3	Therefore, cover me beneath Your loving wings,
	Keep all the dangers of life far from me;
	My little heart rejoiced in all things through delusion and pride,
	Yet forgive all that, Lord, stay with me.
4	The night is dark, but it does not hide You,
	Until morning comes, look upon me with merciful eyes;
	Then I shall sleep in peace in the Lord's hand,
	And singing praises, I shall awake at dawn with joy.
