૧	ઈશ્વર, ગતકાળમાં થયો સા'ય,	ભવિષ્યની છે આશ;
	તોફાનમાં પણ તું છે આશ્રય,	ને સ્વર્ગમાં અનંત વાસ.
૨	તારી ગાદીની છાયામાંય	રે'શે નિર્ભય તુજ ભક્ત;
	અમારો બચાવ પૂરતો છે,	છે તારો હાથ સશક્ત.
૩	પૃથ્વીને રચી તે પે'લાં	યા પા'ડ થયેલ ઉત્પન્ન,
	અનાદિ કાળથી તું ઈશ્વર,	અનંતકાળ સુધી પણ.
૪	તુજ દષ્ટિમાં વરસ હજાર,	એક રાતના જેવાં છે;
	જેમ રાત જતી રે' પ્રભાતે	તેમ તે પણ એવાં છે.
૫	કાળ વે'તી નદીના પૂર્ પેઠે	લોકોને તાણી જાય છે;
	સવારે સ્વપ્ન ભુલાય તેમ	તેઓ મરી જાય છે.
