હું શોભિતો દેશ જોઉં છું, રળિયમણો વિશાળ;
તેમાં થઈને હું આવેલો, સંદેહ તથા ભયની માંય;
હ્યાં મેં જીવનનું જળ ચાખ્યું, તેથી તૃપ્ત થયો આત્મામાં;
મને મળ્યો મહા છુટકારો, બોજની નથી કંઈ ચિંતા;
બહુ મીઠાશથી કહે છે ઈસુ: "સ્તંભને ઊંચક, બીતો મા;

373 - Beulah Land
1 I dwell upon the mountain, where there is much light,
I behold a beautiful land, delightful and vast;
There the air is very pleasant, fragrant with fruits,
Around the springs in bloom, beneath the shade of immortal trees.
Refrain: Could this not be Beulah Land, the blessed place of light!
In it flowers bloom always, where there is eternal rest.
2 Below the mountain there appears a great dry wilderness,
Through it I came, amid doubt and fear;
Vows made before God, which I did not cast off,
Yet being led by the Spirit, I have come this far.
3 I drink from the spring, and remain always in this world,
Here I have tasted the water of life, therefore my soul is satisfied;
Desire for the pleasures of the world, now I have none,
I have received great riches, whose destruction shall never be.
4 Do not speak of heavy sorrow, do not talk about burdens,
I have found great deliverance, I have no concern for burdens;
I must walk after Christ, all else is but dust,
I forsake all the honor of the world, taking the cross upon my head.
5 Great is the glory of the cross! How true this word is!
Walking through the narrow way, the sight reaches to the end.
With great sweetness Jesus says: "Lift the cross, do not fear;
I walked this path before you, and in it there is glory to this day."
