૨ ના થાય એવું, પ્રભુ ! ખ્રિસ્તના મૃત્યુ વિના !
હું ગર્વ ધારું; કશી હોય જે અન્ય બિના !
જે સર્વ વાનાં તણો, છે મને મોહ ભારે !
વૃથા ગણી હે પ્રભુ ! અર્પું આ રક્તધારે !
૩ રે ! ખ્રિસ્તના હસ્ત, પાયે, વળી મસ્તકેથી !
જો ! શોક ને પ્રેમમિશ્રિત શી ધાર વે'તી !
એવો પ્રીતિશોકનો રે ! કદી મેળ દીઠો ?
કે કંટકોનો અમૂલો બન્યો તાજ દીઠો ?
