૧	શી ઉપમા ઈસુને દઈએ? શાં દષ્ટાંતો તેનાં કહીએ?
	કો જન તેના સદ્દગુણ જાણે? પૂરો તેને કોણ વખાણે?
	જાણો, ઈસુ સૂર્ય પ્રકાશી, તે બહુ તેજ કરે આકાશી,
	પાતક, અંધ બધું તે કાઢે, પાતક, ઠંડક સર્વ મટાડે.
૨	ઈસુ અન્ન વળી આકાશી, ખાધે જીવન છે અવિનાશી;
	જીવનદાયક અન્ન જ ખાઉં, દુ:ખ, મરણથી છૂટો થાઉં.
	ઈસુ જીવનઝરણ છે જાણી નહિ ખૂટે તે પીઉં પાણી;
	પીધે તરસ કદી નહિ લાગે, અવર કદી આત્મા નહિ માગે.
૩	ઈસુ દ્રાક્ષાવેલો જાણું, વિશ્વાસી સહુ ડાળી માનું;
	તેથી રસ, ફળ, ફૂલો આવે, સહુ બળ શોભા તે જ કરાવે.
	ઈસુ યજ્ઞ થયો જગ માટે, પ્રાણ તજ્યો અપરાધી સાટે;
	તે પર ભાવ ધરી મન રાખું, દોષ-નિવારણના ગુણ તાકું.
૪	ઈસુ અચળ શિલાના જેવો, તે પર ઘરનો પાયો દેવો;
	દ્રઢ વિશ્વાસ ધરી તે નાખું, દઢ રહેવાની આશા રાખું,
	એ ઉપરાંત ઘણી ઉપમા છે, કોણ જ લેખું પૂરું વાંચે?
	સહુ ભૂમંડળ જોતાં જઈએ, તો પણ સર્વ પૂરું વાંચે?
	સહુ ભૂંમંડળ જોતાં જઈએ, તો પણ સર્વ અધૂરાં રહીએ.

	Pidhe taras kadi nahi laage, avar kadi aatmaa nahi maage.
3	Isu draakshaavelo jaanu, vishwaasi sahu daali maanu;
	Tethi ras, phal, phoolo aave, sahu bal shobhaa tej karaave.
	Isu yagya thayo jag maate, praan tajyo aparaadhi saate;
	Te par bhaav dhari man raakhu, dosh-nivaarananaa gun taaku.
4	Isu achal shilaanaa jevo, te par gharano paayo devo;
	Dhrudh vishwaas dhaari te naakhu, drudh rahevaani aashaa raakhu,
	Ae uparaant ghani upamaa che, kon aj lekhu puru vaanche?
	Sahu bhumandad jotaa jaiae, to pan sarv puru vaache?

1	What comparison shall we give to Jesus? What examples of Him shall we tell?
	Who knows all His virtues? Who can fully praise Him?
	Know that Jesus is the shining sun, He gives great brightness in the heavens,
	He removes all sin and darkness, He takes away all sin and coldness.
2	Jesus is also the heavenly bread, if eaten, life is everlasting;
	May I eat the life-giving bread, and be freed from sorrow and death.
	Jesus is the fountain of life, knowing this, I drink that water which never fails;
	Having drunk, thirst never comes, the soul never asks for another.
3	I know Jesus as the vine, and count all believers as branches;
	From Him come sap, fruit, and flowers, all strength and beauty are given by Him.
	Jesus became a sacrifice for the world, He gave up His life for sinners;
	On Him I set my affection and keep my mind, I look to the virtues that remove दोष.
4	Jesus is like an immovable rock, on Him the foundation of the house must be laid;
