દીપે સૂર્ય ઘણો ઊગતાં, ચળકે શુભ કાંતિ;
ચાલી તે ધમકાર થકી બહુ જોર કરે છે;
જીવ, જનાવર, માનવને તેથી સુખ થાયે;
મિત્રોની અતિ પ્રીતિ ખરી, હોશે બહુ વહાલા;
તોય કદાય અદશ્ય થશે, દીસે મન ઠાલાં;
સૃષ્ટિ વિકારે, ફૂલ ખરે, ને જોબન જાશે;
ચન્દ્ર ઘટે, શુભ સૂર્ય નમે, ને સિંધુ ફરાશે;

82 - The Unchanging Love of Lord Jesus
1 Though the beauty of a flower appears great today,
Yet by tomorrow, as we look, it will all wither away,
After a little while, see, it will decay. But love.
Refrain : The love of Jesus does not turn, nor will it wither.
2 The time of youth shines much, with fresh strength,
In every occasion it rejoices, taking no sorrow upon itself,
After a few years it changes, suffering many stumbles. But love.
3 At night the beauty of the moon appears very bright,
Until the full moon it increases, spreading blessed light,
Yet from there it daily wanes and its decline will come. But love.
4 The sun shines greatly at its rising, gleaming with fair radiance;
It keeps climbing until midday, from there its course bends low
Its splendor will fade, when it goes down to set. But love.
5 The great ocean's tide, how it rises!
Moving on, with its surge it makes great force;
Yet afterward, when the ebb comes there, the water turns back. But love.
6 In the evening a very gentle breeze blows very sweetly,
Living beings and animals, and humans, receive comfort from it;
Yet when it is disturbed, a storm appears in it. But love.
7 The deep affection of friends is true, they are very dear;
Yet at times they will disappear, and the mind seems empty;
Forsaking affection, they learn to keep fierce faces. But love.
8 Creation changes, flowers fall, and youth will pass away;
The moon wanes, the bright sun declines, and the ocean will turn;
Sweet speech will become a storm, friends will change. But love.
