પ્રાર્થ સાથ મૂકેલ આ શિલા પર, બાંધ, હે ઈશ્વર, તુજ મંદિર;
મહિમાવાન જે તારું શુભ નામ, માને જુગ જુગમાં સૌ જન;
ખેદિત કેરા ખેદ બધાય, પાપ-પીડિતના સંધા તાપ;
વચનો સતનાં વાવે આ ઠામ, દે ફૂલ-ફળ સૌને જીવન;
દીન-હીન કેરા નાથ, પ્રભુજી, ખુલ્લાં કરજે તારાં દ્વાર;
કારીગર જો કુશળ હાથે, ઘડશે જીવંત પથ્થર હ્યાં;

453 - Foundation Laying Ceremony
Tune: Bhimpalas
( It may also be sung to the tune “Come, O Giver of every blessing.”)
Tr. : Jayanand I Chauhan
1 Upon this stone laid with prayer, build, O God, Your temple;
May this house be beautiful and strong, a camp of Your blessing.
May all people through the ages honor Your glorious holy name;
Let there be such glory in this place, where this foundation stone is laid.
2 Remove all the sorrows of the sorrowful, the burning pain of the sin-afflicted;
Give them peace of body and mind always, in this temple.
May the words of truth be sown in this place, and give flowers and fruit to all in life;
Show such grace in this place, where this foundation stone is laid.
3 O Lord, Master of the poor and lowly, open Your doors wide;
Knowing it as their own home, those children of Yours who had gone astray will sing praise.
May the craftsman with skillful hands shape living stones here;
For the temple in the form of Your congregation, where Christ is the cornerstone.
