૧ "	આકાશ ને પૃથ્વી પરે અધિકાર સઘળો છે મને,
	માટે જઈ સૌ દેશમાં શિષ્યો કરો સૌ લોકને;
	ત્રિએક પ્રભુના નામથી બાપ્તિસ્મા આપો બધા,
	આજ્ઞા સકળ મુજ પાળજો, છું સાથમાં હું સર્વદા".
૨	હે ખ્રિસ્ત ત્રાતા ! પ્રેમથી આજ્ઞા અમે એ શિર ધરી,
	આવ્યાં અહીં તુજ પાસ આજે શાંતિ તારી દે ખરી;
	આ ભાઈ* બાપ્તિસ્મા વડે જોડાય તારા સાથમાં,
	તું તેમને સંભાળ તારા માર્ગમાં સૌ વાતમાં.
૩	જળવૃષ્ટિ પેઠે સીંચજે પરિશુદ્ધ આત્મા પ્રેમથી,
	જળસ્નાન પેઠે ધો, પ્રભુ, તુજ રક્તથી દિલ રે'મથી;
	સૌ પાપ ને પાપિષ્ટ સત્તા કાઢતાં. દિલ સાફ દે,
	સંસ્કાર બાપ્તિસ્મા વડે, પ્રભુ ! પૂર્ણ આશીર્વાદ દે.
૪	તું જેમ બાપ્તિસ્મા લઈ જન કાજ હોમાઈ ગયો,
	નિષ્પાપ તું, પાપી તણો આનંદથી સેવક થયો;
	સેવારૂપી જયવંત જીવન નિત્ય તારું આપજે,
	ને અંતમાં સ્વર્ગે સદા તુજ સેવમાં, પ્રભુ સ્થાપજે.

1 "	All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me,
	Therefore go into all nations and make disciples of all people;
	Baptize them all in the name of the Triune Lord,
	Keep all my commandments, I am with you always".
2	O Christ the Savior! In love we bow our heads to that command,
	We have come here to You today, grant us Your true peace;
	May this brother* by baptism be joined with You,
	You keep them in Your way in every matter.
3	Like rainfall, water with love by the Holy Spirit,
	As with washing in water, cleanse, O Lord, the heart with Your blood from sin;
	Removing all sin and sinful power, give a clean heart,
	Through the sacrament of baptism, O Lord! give full blessing.
4	As You, by taking baptism, were offered for the sake of people,
	You, sinless, gladly became the servant of the sinner;
	Grant Your ever-victorious life of service daily,
	And at the end in heaven forever establish us in Your service, O Lord.
