	આત્માને ને દેહને અજવાળું દેનાર.
૩	સૂર્ય વિના તો ભૂતળે સંધાં નાશે જાય,
	શાસ્ત્ર વિના તો જીવનું મોત સદાનું થાય;
	રવિ તેજે તો જ્યમ સરે લૌકિકના સહુ સાર,
	લેખ થકી પ્રગટાય છે આત્માનો ઉદ્ધાર.

૧	As the sunlight is always seen in the sky,
	Fulfilling the hope of all people in every land;
	So always in my hand the Scripture is like a lamp,
	At all times make all people radiant with light.
૨	The sun-like lamp kindles the world, O Lord,
	And also gives a message like the light of writing;
	In both is seen the help of brightness,
	Giving light to the soul and to the body.
૩	Without the sun, all things on earth perish,
	Without Scripture, the soul suffers eternal death;
	By the sun’s brightness all worldly matters proceed,
	Through the writing the soul’s salvation is revealed.
